The grave of Sir John Gardner Wilkinson (1797–1875), Egyptologist, can be found in the graveyard of Llandingat on the outskirts of Llandovery in Carmarthenshire. Wilkinson was returning from the family estate at Calke Abbey, Derbyshire.- ODNB (Athens password required)
