Sale of The Groppi Collection

Christies will feature Egyptian antiquities from The Groppi Collection in their forthcoming auction on the 26 April 2012 at their South Kensington sale room.   The auction will have 397 lots and is expected to fetch between £5.8 million and £8.74 million, with the Groppi objects making up 107 of the lot number.
The Groppi Collection was formed by Achille Groppi between the 1920s and 1940s and features a variety of Egyptian objects including rare glass tiles.
