50 Objects 50 Stories

The University of Sydney's Nicholson Museum are launching a new exhibition in conjunction with an ABC TV series.  50 Objects 50 Stories: Extraordinary Curiosities from the Nicholson Museum, launched by author David Malouf, will feature fifty 3-minute episodes on ABC News 24.  The idea is based on the popular A History of the World in 100 Objects by Neil MacGregor who showcases objects from the British Museum (see recent post).

Featured items from the collection, founded by Sir Charles Nicholson, include a fragment of Book 5 of the Illiad, an ivory inlay from Nimrud which has connections with Agatha Christie and a pair of mummified legs belonging to an ancient Egyptian.
