Egypt Centre receives Artefacts from Woking

The Egypt Centre in Swansea have received a loan of over 30 Egyptian antiquities which include shabtis, amulets, a Bes pottery vessel and a Sokar hawk.  The objects are from Woking College who received them in the 1970s as a donation.  Wanting them to be placed so they could have the best usage, the Principal contacted the British Museum for advice who in turn suggested they reside in Swansea.
Research is now being undertaken to discover more about the history of these objects.
