Gayer-Anderson Cat to Travel to Shetland

The Guardian reports that regional museums will not have to pay for loans of popular artefacts such as  the well known Gayer-Anderson cat.  This bronze cat with golden ear and nose rings is to travel to Lerwick in Shetland to be displayed at the Shetland Museum and Archives.  The cat, named after Major Robert Greville Gayer-Anderson, is one of several objects to be loaned by the British Museum to regional museums.
