Haslemere Museum wins Kids in Museums Award

The Telegraph reports on the Kids in Museums Award which has been granted to Haslemere Educational Museum.   The museum, which was founded in 1888 by Sir Jonathan Hutchison, a London Surgeon and philanthropist, prides itself on its interactive displays and learning activities.  These include having a life-size model of a mummy made from stuffed cotton which children can mummify; this compliments the 3000 year-old mummy known as Pa-er-abu which forms the centrepiece of the human history gallery.

Congratulation Haslemere, who incidently was one of the smallest museums on the list!
