Truro Museum Urged to Scrap £5 Admission Fee

Truro's Royal Cornwall Museum in Cornwall have introduced a new £5 admission fee for over 18s.
The fee was brought in the day after the museum officially opened its new gallery which features an Egyptian mummy as the star exhibit.  Staff report that they had received 'overwhelming' support from visitors.  The museum is expected to raise approximately £40,000 per annum from the charge which will go towards running costs.  Not everyone is happy about the entry fee however with calls being made to keep museums free.  Click here for the full story.
