The Japan Post Online reports on the new exhibition which opens today at The Mori Arts Center Gallery in Tokyo. "Journey Through the Afterlife: Ancient Egyptian Book of the Dead"is an exhibition from the British Museum in London which highlights the customs, beliefs and rituals of the ancient Egyptians.
There are approx. 80 objects to see including the Greenfield Papyrus which was made for the high-ranking priestess, Nestanebtasheru. It is a richly illustrated and unique version of the Book of the Dead which contains images of cosmology.
The exhibition runs until 17 September 2012.
