Napoleon Exhibition in Melbourne

The National Gallery of Victorian in Melbourne, Australia  have an exhibition called Napoleon: Revolution to Empire running until 7th October 2012.  Described as a 'panoramic exhibition' it examines French art, culture and life from the 1770s when the first French voyages of discovery to Australia were undertaken up to the 1820s which saw the end of Napoleon's leadership as the first Emperor of France.  On display are some of the original journals that made up the Description de l'Egypte containing drawings and paintings completed by the savants who accompanied Napoleon on his expedition to Egypt.

Thanks to Jan Bailey for the link and information about the Egyptian section.
