Mummy at YSRAP State Museum to undergo Conservation Measures
A 2,350 year old Egyptian mummy is to undergo conservation at the YSRAP State Museum in Hyderabad in an effort to conserve its deterioration. Ieshu, who was believed to be around 18 years of age when she died, is suffering problems at the face, shoulders an feet and the wrapping is beginning to peel off due to the lack of air-tight conditions. New measures are now in place to place her in a sealed glass case to prevent further damage.
