African Cosmos: Stellar Arts at the Smithsonian

"African Cosmos: Stellar Arts" is an ongoing exhibition at the Smithsonian's National Museum of African Art which asks visitors to consider connections between art and science.

"One of the first things visitors see as they enter is a meticulously painted Egyptian mummy case about 1,000 years B.C.  It was made for a female singer in the temple of the sun god Amun-Re" - 91.3 WYSO
