Egyptian carved fragment fetches $57,500 at auction

Property of Kansas City arts patron David A. Stickelber's estate was auctioned on 8th November 2012.  The auction's highest priced bid was for an Egyptian carved limestone fragment from the Ptolemaic period which sold for $57,500 to an international buyer.
The estimate was for $7000-9000.
