Two lion-shaped statues have been discovered by an Italian archaeological team at a Ptolemaic temple of the crocodile god Sknopios in the Fayoum.  The archaeological mission from Salento-Litchi University found the limestone seated statues on Monday at the entrance of the temple situated at Dimeh Al-Siba.  The statues are now in a Fayoum storage awaiting restoration - ahramonline
