Abu Simbel Exhibition Returns to Rome

'Abu Simbel: the saving of the temples: man and technology' is an exhibition celebrating the saving of Abu Simbel's temples in Egypt.   The project that took place between 1964-1968 and involved over 2000 workers and 150 specialists from around the world, all with the one goal - to save Egypt's heritage from disappearing due to the construction of the Aswan dam.

The exhibition, previously shown in 2009, returns to Rome on the 10 January at the Egyptian Academy and includes original photography of the project.
