Ancient Egyptian Plant Display

The Botanischer Garten und Botanisches Museum in Berlin is the place to go if you are interested in botany and ancient Egypt:

"Of special interest within the show room is the so-called Egyptian Section which deals with the history of cultivated plants in Ancient Egypt. On display are the most beautiful and, from the botanical viewpoint, most interesting items of the collection of Georg Schweinfurth (1836-1925), explorer in Africa. Such a unique collection cannot be found elsewhere than in Cairo. Furthermore, there are coloured reproductions of frescoes and casts from reliefs with plants from Pharaohs' tombs." -  Museumsportal Berlin
The Museum can be found at K├Ânigin-Luise-Str. 614195 Berlin (Steglitz-Zehlendorf)

The exhibition runs from 4th April 2013 - 31 December 2014
