Third Australasian Egyptology Conference

Details of the Third Australasian Egyptology Conference which will be held on 16-19 July 2014 at Macquarie University, Sydney are now available:

"The Australian Centre for Egyptology at Macquarie University, Sydney is pleased to announce the Third Australasian Egyptology Conference. It is open to postgraduate research students and scholars in Egyptology and Coptic Studies. 

The AEC is the main forum for researchers in the Australasian region and meets every 2-3 years (Monash University / Melbourne 2009, University of Auckland 2011).  The conference is also open to participants from other parts of the world. We invite and look forward to papers from all areas of current research within Egyptology and Coptic Studies.

*First Call for Papers*

We ask for submission of abstracts (up to 400 words in length) to be sent by 1 March, 2014 to:

The abstracts should contain the title of the paper, the author's/authors' name(s) and affiliation. They will be peer-reviewed and notification of accepted proposals will be sent out by the Organizing Committee before the end of April 2014. Presentations at the conference will be 20 minutes in length with 5 minutes question time.
