Archaeology as a Social Science

Professor Michael Smith of the Arizona State University, Anthropology Department, together with Gary M Feinman of the Field Museum in Chicago, Robert D Drennan of the University of Pittsburgh, Timothy Earle of the Northwestern University and Ian Morris of Stanford Universirty have published a paper in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

Entitled "Archaeology as a Social Science" the article explores archaeology in terms of how it has advanced during recent times in terms of how we interpret sites and how we do research.  It explores the expansion of the discipline to include perspectives from other sciences.
